Okay guys/gals, I'm still relatively new to this site and I have a few questions. I have a 99 Accord Lx with about 194 G's on the
Odometer. I recently had a rejection sticker when trying to pass emissions. 3 codes came up. P0171 (System Too Lean)
P0138 (o2 Sensor B1 S2 High Volt) and P1456 Mfr Controlled Aux Emissins Conttrols (gas leak?, possibly fuel cap) but I already
replaced the fuel cap a few years ago as well as the Evap system. so I don't think it's that. I was thinking maybe the Fuel Pressure Regulator or
the Distributor but these are just guesses and are based on what I have read so far.

The car has since Stalled on me twice. Both times when I was on the highway. It would just die on me. I would pull over.
Wait about a minute then she would start up and I would go. Something else I have noticed. When The RPM's reach around 3,800 -
4,000 it would drop down to 3,500 in rapid succesion as if I hit the rev limiter or something. This is usually after the car has
warmed up and it has been running for 10 or more miinutes. In reading some of the previous threads, I saw EGR valve and IACV valve
as possibilites. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

In case this helps. I have a short air intake I grabbed from E:icon_gay:

P1456 - EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank System)

Try Googling Honda TSB 99-074 and see what it says...

Take the vacuum line off the top of the FPR, if it smells like gas you've probably blown the diaphragm and it needs replacing. Over richening of the fuel system likely caused the O2 sensor to over-lean the engine (P0171) and cause the secondary O2 to read too high (P0138).

Thanks Finch. I will take a look at those links.

I did find out why my car is stalling or just dying on me. The ignition switch is going. Noticed that all the lights on the dash will blink a few times when I am driving then the car just dies on me. Right directional occasionally blinks fast when activated which would usually indicate a blown light, but no blown lights on the right side. I've already had the damn ignition switched replaced. Wonder if Honda will do it again for free.

You could see if they will do a "goodwill" repair, but I doubt it. Honda never actually updated the part, they just recalled it and replaced it with a brand new one.

If not, it's a pretty easy replacement. Just remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds and unscrew the switch from the end of the key cylinder.
