2000 Honda Accord 5spd

CEL came on today while driving in the crappy winter Chicago weather

Tried to extract the code when I came back to the apt using the paperclip trick

Saw a spark when I put in the paperclip (thought to myself :eusa_doh: at this point)

Now the car won't start. It cranks but doesn't turn over. Battery works, windows work, lights work and radio all works

Dude, got to a local auto parts and have them pull codes for you. I know out here, PepBoys, Autozone and other will do it for free. Don't do the old OBD1 type paper clip on an OBD2 car!

Yeah man don't do the paper clip thing that's for cars with OBD1 (1994 and older models?)

The paperclip trick used to work all the time. This is the 1st time that I blew a fuse. Lesson learned. While I'm still in the US I'll go to AutoZone for a free CEL check
