Check engine light!!

Got the engine light while I was driving and started flashing. My car seemed to stutter when I accelerated. Read the codes and they were p0301(#1 cylinder misfire) and p1491(egr valve malfunction) i have no clue where to start fixing it or the cheapest way to fix it since money is an issue right now. Any ideas? I did have new spark plugs put in.

Coils, mine went same thing happened
Unplug one by one while engine running to see which one is bad.

Where are the coils located? Sorry I'm new to all of this..

For the EGR, grab some carb cleaner and try cleaning out the port. There is guide in the DIY section.

As redryder said egr clean is an easy DIY. If you have already changed your plugs I would also inspect and change your wires, distributor cap, and rotor. I had the same problem minus egr and it was due to an old plug wire arcing. I changed the parts mentioned and it was running like new. :thumbsup:
