So im wanting to get a dash mat. just curious if anyone has a certain brand they like or dont like. ive seen some suede ones online that seem pretty kool but can get pricey

I made one and covered it with some suede and it faded quickly. I would start with one of the carpet mats unless you can find some suede that won't fade.

my car came with a gray one from the previous owner. brand name was Dash Topper. fabric was velour and it wasnt bad. im not much of a dash mat guy so i removed it, but my Dash looks brand new so I guess the 'dash topper' did its job
