Good DIY. I can't see the practicality of it though... other than looks.

Don't 1/8" pop rivets seem a bit small?:thinking:

depends on the hinge that you buy and what size rivets you would like to use with it! i didn't wanna go too big; plus that was the size i always used when i used to install moonroofs/sunroofs on cars

there's another DIY that people use to make the trunk lid to be 90 degrees. i recommend that since it's a clearer look. also, is that hinge going to hold up for that weight? i plan to do this mod and want to make sure it won't break on me.

Hey i did this and does anybody know how to eliminate the gap I get right by the back window when the trunk is closed? Without having the bolt in?
