HAs anyone experienced their car battery dying or dead a few days/weeks after installing an alarm system or remote start?

I got viper 5704 a couple week ago and my battery keeps dying here and there. Note that the battery was fairly new. My alternator works. It delivers Approx. 14v and could run even when i remove the wires from the battery post. I have every electronic gadgets stock. Only aftermarket would be the viper alarm and RS

My RS will drain the battery down after a few days of not driving. I just keep it on a charger. If you have a multi meter and a lot of time you can track down the exact cause of the current draw and try to fix that issue.

How does it affect the life of the battery?

Any options you have enabled? ie. timed start (starting the car at certain times for a set amount of minutes)
Are kids hitting your car constantly setting your alarm off lol?

I've never had my battery drain lower then 12.2v as the remote of the CompuStar will send a warning if it does. Its usually 12.4-12.5
