plenty of people did, but idk if the folks in illinois will be happy when they hook up to your obd2 port for emissions test.

Not too worried about it, the plan is to run a hondata s300 with a p28 ecu/ obd1 conversion. After that I want to rip out the egr. The only difficulty I am having is finding a chip to not throw a code. The techs who run the emissions test dont check under the hood just plug and play.

Pretty sure you can select to tune it out once you're OBD1. Also, by going OBD1, they won't get a reading off your obd2 port.

wow I never thought of that, so I would have to switch back and forth between obd1 and obd2 for the tests or is there another way around it?

Get a standalone ecu (aem ems) could probably delete it that way.
