i ususally just take off the cap and rock the hell out of the car lolol...probably a better way...
engine and idle up and down when cold HELP!!

Word, just take the cap off (when the engine is cold) and let the car run. Any bubbles in the cooling system should bleed out.
I really don't think this is your problem. But you could try it and see if it works.

Finch has the correct answer. My 4cyl does it in the cold too.
