I'm finally doing it! :boink:

I am wondering, is there anything I should use to better adhere the paint to the plastic of my side skirts and door moldings? Or is just sanding, then primer, paint, then clear the best method?

And also, the door moldings for my 99 sedan are held on by clips behind the door panels correct?

I would sand, buy some willbond then willbond it, then prime it grey (don't buy any of that duplicolor bs), and then paint 2 coats, then clear.

Well I've just been busy, along with my dad being busy as well (you'll understand why i drug my dad into this post in a few good seconds.......), so I haven't had time to ask him if he would help me yet.

spoiler alert!!
Dear ol' Daddy works at a body shop. :D
Which means, if i ask him to help me, then I now attain access to professional grade primer, paint, AND clear, as well as professional spray guns. :D Gotta love good connections. lol

So pretty much it's gonna be body shop grade work, with 0 cost. :D
He and I were both wondering though if there was any method of making the paint stick to the plastic any better than just sanding.

What exactly is "Willbond"? Anyone else used it?

It'll be a few days, maybe a week or two though before I get around to it, I'm extremely busy lately with my promotion at work AND going to college 5 days a week.

I just want to make sure, the door moldings are held on by clips accessible from behind the door panel correct?

lol you got a lot to learn

for raw plastic you need some kind of adhesion promoter ( bulldog brand etc)
then primer, then paint and clear coat

That's kinda why I made this thread...... :eh:

So should I sand it before putting on the adhesion promoter?
