hey guys so im 99.9% my sub is finished
its a 15" alpine type r powered by an alpine pdx 1.1000

i was listening on the way home from school and it all of a sudden cut out
i checked all fuses, but they all seem to be intact
when it plays now, it has a scratchy sound when it moves.
i took it out of the box to see if there was anything burnt or anything, but it looks fine
is there any way i can fix it?

either way, im upgrading soon anyways... but until i have money, ill probably be without bass :sad::sad::sad::sad:

any suggestions for a sub that is appropriate for my amp??
looking for more of a spl sub more than a sq sub
but we'll see
im gonna look around for a single 12 or 15 fi BL or a ssa icon or maybe an image dynamics idmax

I'd avoid the idmax too if you're interest is spl. they can get pretty damn loud, but they aren't designed for all out spl
