FOG Lights wont shut off

I replaced the switch but I dont get it when I plugged the switch in the foglights came on and they headlights werent even on . When I turn the headlights on and turn the switch on the foglights go off (lights on switch on) , when I turn it off they come on, when I go to brights they are still on. I dont get it. HELLLLLLPPPPPP!

I think its the harness im not sure. I ended up hacking the harness and running it to the low beams and they go on and off ok. Any suggestions on if this is ok or not?
