Full DIY 01-03 JDM civic fog lights install

so i was finishing up the install today ..
when i tried turning them on, the button lights up when i press it but the foglights dont turn on
i checked all the connections and they seem fine.
any suggestions?
also, i plugged it into the bottom left slot of the fuse box. everyting seems right to me..
help ! =(

i'm guessing it's a bad splice. The splice basically makes the power go to both the switch and the lights. the power is flowing cause the switch is on. It could also be that you have bad ground points.

this is how i went about splicing it -

i stipped a small section in the middle of L and also stripped the end of U
i then wrapped the end of U around the middle of L

does that sound right?

i used the bolts on the T brackets for grounds in the ABC section

and i used the same ground point as you for the last one, but i just wrapped the metal around the bolt as opposed to in between it

i'd suggest properly splicing the 2 wires but if the wires are connected it should be fine. I suggest testing the grounds though because sometimes those grounding spots don't work out for people. Also check to make sure the bulbs are good.

alright, thanks man

ill prolly use a volt meter or something to check if it is a bad bulb

ill let you know when they start working =)

thanks man, i redid my ground wires and it works now

i didnt know the grounds acted as a negative wire for the current

i thought it was just a safety precaution :ohsnap:
