Glass Lense Restore

Tried using a 500 grit sandpaper on a drill to restore the glass lenses to my foglights but it doesnt seem to be getting anywhere.
Anyone restore glass lenses and have advice?
They arent in TOO bad of shape so I may just leave them how they are as they are fog lights and will get some stone chips pretty quickly.

Never heard of sanding glass. Are the lenses pitted or something?

I put a clearbra on my fogs to protect them from road debris after my last set cracked finally.

Yeah they are alittle pitted. Nothing too bad. Guess ill just live with it.

Get the 3M film, fog lenses aren't very thick, so you don't want to sand them too much.
