Got my turbo on!!...but i got a problem :-{

I got my turbo kit put on last week..Finally!! lol...but while tuning it the shop came across a problem. My car was making too much power for my clutch!! I have an Exedy stage 1 w/ fidanza flywheel combo. What are these clutches rated at..power wise? They had to lower my boost down to 5psi and i still cant get on it out of first gear ..it slips. I would like to run 8-10lbs of boost. What clutch would be better for my setup. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

stage 1 is just fine for that much power. i had a clutchmaster stage 1 and was doing 239whp and schit grabbed like nothing else!!!
maybe you should look into a real clutch? exedy and fidanza is just...meh i dont know

Don't forget Clutchmasters and a few other mfgrs other there.

My buddy had the same clutch setup with the same power and didnt have a problem.

Do i need to break it in? If so,how many miles should i "drive miss daisy"?

Is it brand new? If so...500mi break in.

Yea I would think that clutch should be fine but if its new defentlly break it in and dont beat on it.

yes it is brand new...maybe that is the problem

your car was stock 5 spd right? a break in period would help burn off the protecing coating of the clutch disc. you could always get a 6 puck unsprung clutch and never slip again, lol
