i don't really know what to say because in group shots there is too much. I would suggest downloading a depth of field calculator that you can use as a reference to make sure you have enough depth to get everyone in focus. You will have to play around with the other settings while trying to keep the DOF at a good....depth. Keeping shutter speed fast enough to prevent blur when someone moves. Keeping ISO as low as you can to prevent too much noise. It will be a give and take because each one of those has pros and cons. You have figure out how to deal with what you got.
