H22 motor, H23 tranny

for sale locally from a guy i've been talking to.
he buys and parts out ludes.

Motor has about 140k.
came out of a totaled lude, wrecked from behind.

tranny, not sure.

he offered me both for 650 out the door.
what do you guys think?

Great if you do a compression and leakdown test with good results. Then do the major maintenance (timing belt, water/oil pump, manual tensioner conversion, clean the EGR ports, valve adjustment:afro:)
My h22 sat in my backyard for 3yrs in the rain and whatnot and who knows how long in a junkyard before, and its still running strong. Dont forget the ECU

It could be, but if you purchase all the parts and DIY everything via info on the web you'll save a lot. Most important is the leakdown and compression test, that'll determine if the motor itself is even worth it. I forgot about the main seal btw
