H22a/h23 swap questions!

Hey guys i blew the motor up in my 98 accord last night and i was thinking about doing an H22 swap. With this beening my first honda i was just wondering would it be worth the time and money to do this, Also what year h22 would i need? Is it possible to keep it an automatic? What are some of your opinions? Thanks for reading!! Kasey!
