now before one of you ranking members tells me to search the previous posts, hear me out. My buddy was given an HID kit with the ballasts and everything. It's fairly new and working fine. The bulk type is an h4, and his bulb is a 9004. What's the best way to hardwire it in?

First off:
1) Get the right bulb size
2) get the correct harness to plug into the headlight plug
3) Try them out.

Ok maybe you didn't understand.. I need to know the best way to hardwire this kit. He doesn't want to buy a harness. He doesn't want to buy new bulbs. The budget is $0 other than some wire. I'm going to hardwire it in, so does anyone have any useful suggestions?

Can you clarify something?

Is the bulb an H4 or 9004?
Also, what car is it going into and what is the required bulb for the car

If the bulbs you have are NOT the required bulbs for the car, then you'll do more marm than good trying to make the bulb fit into the headlight housing.
Wiring is not much of a pain if you want to rig it up or something. but If the bulb wont fit or stay in the housing, what's the purpose

Let me clarify.
- He owns an Infinity i30
- He bought aftermarket headlights that take an h4 bulb
- A buddy gave him the HID's (h4 bulbs)
- The factory harness is for a 9004 bulb type
- They do not make a conversion harness for his car.

Whats the best way to do this?

Can I splice into the parking lights, and and a fuse block?

Because that's a "switched" power source. Look people, stop telling me to return it...IT WAS FREE!!!!!! If you do not know how to hardwire this or make the harness, don't post anything.

Wait!
No need to get pissed because someone is telling you to do it the RIGHT way.
When butchering electrical work, there's bound to be a problem down the line

Without seeing what you're working with, here's what you do
Install the bulbs into the aftermarket headlights
The two wires from the bulb must be connected to the Ballast
The factory headlight connector (where you plug the stock bulb into) must be connected to the other side of the ballast
Basically, that's for a simple plug-n-play

But it would help if you posted some pics so we can know what you're working with and if you're missing anything

As far as hardwiring stuff, it's basically simple.
Just figure out which is positive and which is negative.
There is no need to wire anything to the parking lights as the headlight connector is your power source
