I don't like the hood insulation at all. It seems pretty unnecessary. I don't care how loud it would be, I like engine noise :)

Could I take it out with no risks?

yea it's fine. I don't have any with my cf hood. Its fairly easy to remove- just a little time consuming. There are plastic clips to just pop out. and i believe there is some sort of adhesive that you can get off with some goo gone and a razor blade.

I took mine off my stock hood and also have none on my CF hood. No issues so far :)

You know the hood insulator is like $100. Thats something I wouldnt wanna just 'rip off". Also, I dont see any performance gains over this either, so why do it.

I took mine off my stock hood when I had my Accord because it was ratty and look like ****. I didn't have one on my CF hood either.

You'll be fine. If you engine catches fire the car is going to burn down with or without the mat.
