how much shoulld i drop my car?

so my suspension just came in. i have 215/40/17 series tires. i have a 4 finger gap between the wheel and the fender well and im not sure how much to drop the car. should i go with a 2 finger gap or a 1 1/2 gap between the tire and the fender?

Damn you must be ultra 4x4ing with 40 series tires. :ugh: :eusa_doh:


Ideally, I would make both rear and front even.

Go as low as you can so you can drive around "comfortably." (i.e. not scraping coming out of the driveway, speed bumps, etc.)

try something and then adjust it.... why ask us? drop it to what you want it to be??

first off, get the correct tire size.. a 215/45/17 would be the right tire size.

and drop it as much as you want. 1" 2" 3", what ever you prefer.

Also, what kind of coilovers did you get?

The proper tire size should be 215/45/17
You ca get a set of H&R's for under $200 which will drop you 1.5F/1.3R
That way if you want to add a lip kit or larger wheels you can without a problem

This is my car dropped on H&R's (1.5F/1.3R)with a Xenon Lip kit.
The tires are 215/45/17
