Folks,

I'm thinking about putting my Accord up for sale and I know edmunds, craigslist (searching for price points), KBB are all good references, but I'm just curious to what you guys think my car is worth.

Specs:
2002 EX
4-Cylinder
Silver exterior/Black interior
130K miles
Never in an accident
All original body panels (VIN matches)
9/10 Exterior
9/10 Interior
5-speed Manual
Timing belt done
New tires
Nothing needs to be replaced
All maintenance is up to date

What do you think? $6,500 reasonable? Too high? Too low?

Leather?

Not sure I'd pay quite that much for a 9yr old car with 130k miles. But then again the used car market blows right now, and if you're willing to go down from 6500, it could be an okay place to start depending on market trends specific to your location.

Still, I don't think I'd pay over 5k for it.

$4,500 cause its stock.. dealers say car loses value when car has after market stuff, but people are looking to pay $6,500 for cars with swaps and with after market bolt ins.
But your car is still stock clean.

$6,500 sounds about right. I just recently traded my 99 accord with aftermarket parts in for a 07 TSX and they appraised mine at $4k (that's considering that it had aftermarket parts).

Interesting. I don't think I'll ever sell this for $4,500 given its condition and history, but good to know that $6,500 isn't unreasonable.

Thanks all.

The market for those that are looking for cars with aftermarket parts are very rare. Almost a niche market, unless the aftermarket item is widely recognized as being an upgrade. Personally, I never buy cars that have aftermarket parts on, with wheels/maintenance items (new aftermarket shock for example) being the exception.

State farm gave me 6325 for mine with 150k, 5 speed. Their appraisal was based on the fact that my car was stock. I took off all of my aftermarket stuff and replaced it with junkyard stuff when they totaled it out.
