My car is due for a 60k tune up, went to the local Honda stealership they quoted me a price of $550 for god knows what they do. but Goodyear offers they 60k tune up for only $200.
anybody knows what they do at Honda for that much of the price difference??
or can i just go to goodyear or other shops to do the tune up for lower price??

Personally, I always take my Accord to Honda every 15,000 miles for service. 15,000, 30,000, 45,000........ etc. For 60K they do a whole bunch of crap. I have a brochure from a dealership but I'm too lazy to type all the stuff they do. Just call any Honda dealership and ask what they do for 60,000 mile service. Shop around and see which Honda dealer is the cheapest. Just last week I had my 90,000 mile service done and I drove an hour a way to save $100.

hhm.. 60K is one of the big ones... but i've not been to any dealership for a while now... i just let local mechanics do it for way cheaper... i buy the parts of course... part of the 60K is prob changing fluids, ignition parts, injector cleaner (seafoam? :D)

Check your owner's manual. Most of it you could do yourself, the rest is pretty much a mechanic looking at stuff saying "yeeeaap, looks good"
