I really really need the 6th gen community's help

What could my problem be with my starter?

Well that started happening to me and i just got it replaced...

I felt like a retard everytime I needed to ask for sum1 to turn the key while i hit the starter... :dumb:

Well u don't have to always have to have someone, just for the first or second time. If he taps it and it sparks, he should be able to start it himself.

you probably have a weak battery. If your battery is good then check your connections they might be lose. Clean the battery posts and the connections there's a chance they can have junk buildup.

Sounds like poor ground either at the battery or the starter. Could be a loose cable in any of those.

Batteries may check good but may be bad. It has happened to me on a couple different cars i have had... Try jumping the car from another car and see if it does anything. If not than what everyone else is saying with a bad connections..
