ignition timing

so basically what i did was line up the notches




and i kid you not, on mine the arrow on my block is around 15 deg to the right...
maybe that's wrong some how!???!?!


but i will definitely do the TDC test with the dipstick. thanks!!

I couldnt see your pictures. Basically what you want is the crank at 0 while your notch on the cam gear is pointing straight up. Try the dip stick trick or screw driver to find absolute TDC.

Make sure you do this with the timing belt still on, other wise you will bend valves.
