The F23A5 is the least powerful engine of the series, A1-A5 due to the fact the it does not have VTEC.

F23A1 is the standard. LEV VTEC is standard. Rings in at 150hp.

F23A4 is an F23A1 with a more restrictive head, intake manifold and exhaust. 148hp. You can swap all those parts out but the gains are too minimal to justify in my eyes. you will increase 2 hp.

Really, without getting too involved, the most you can really do is intake, header and exhaust.

Some good suggestions were posted in your other thread. The best thing you can do is a 5spd swap, and build the motor if you wish. And/or add bolt-ons. Or turbocharge, but only if you swap to manual trans.

*faster* yes
*fast* not to me!

Depends an what you want...

Loosing less helps, the trans swap
Using less (to move air) helps, IHE bolt-ons

Auto-manual swap with an h22 trans is probably going to help much more than some bolt ons. Only issue is your mpg might drop a little and the rpm will be higher on the high way
