The reason you get tired of your system is because its all bass and highs. If you setup your system to produce all frrequency at peak you will never leave your car. Its like a concert or theatre in my car and if i wanna bump and make my rear view fall i can do that also. hopefully this helps.

is the only way to get those mids is by installing mid bass drivers?

my car is not all bass and highs. i got mids, lows, side to side ups and downs. it sounds pretty clean with or without the subs. (;
