just Dyno'ed the 2.3 LITER BEAST!!!! [UPDATED WITH VIDEO]

I was at Jtran yesterday night for their Friday night meets. And they had a mini dyno day. My friends dyno'ed their cars, and got me to dyno my accord for fun.


My friend's cammed 2005 Pontiac GTO made 405 RWHP on a Mustang Dyno.
My cousin's STi swapped bugeye WRX made 284 AWHP on a Mustang Dyno.

But here is the Dyno sheet. Made 108 WHP on 2nd gear and 105 WHP on 3rd gear. I MADE MORE THAN 100WHP YAY!!!!!!!

Mods: AEM intake.... and thats it. Oh yea, got that VTEC ALSO! and the rare AUTOMATIC transmission!

Why do our cars rate at 150 and dont even pass 110 on a dyno?

150 to the crank + automatic drive train loss of 30% (45hp) + various conditions (dirty air, bad gas, hot day) = 100 hp

dyno jet would have gave ya atleast 110hp

may not be big numbers, but the one run has a nice flat torque curve...

well, dynos are for tuning, not numbers anyway mustangs are the "heartbreaker"

HOLY HELL. I've got one of those rare automatic transmissions too!! I wonder what my car is worth.......

Hahah nice dyno run, I did my car too about a year ago. It did 109whp and 112 lb/ft torque.
