after a long 10 days im finally back. i was on the big island (bigger than i thought lol) just got home a little while ago after a red eye. we left the big island at 7 pm then a 2 hour layover in Honolulu then back to lax. we got in at 645 this morning. i had a blast while we were all there. i went with my gf and her family (8 total, 4 couples). we snorkeled, hiked, zip lined, went to the beach a whole bunch and alot more i cant even think of. the one thing we didnt get a chance to do was cliff jump. it was on the whole opposite side of the island and like a 6 hour round trip in the car. i took a few pics but i didnt take my phone with me everywhere. ill share some of the pics that i got, tell me what you think and if you have ever visited the big island if you have any stories
the first cool hike we did was to a black sand beach. going down was fun but coming up was a breather. super cool spot to chillout for a couple of hours. they had some hidden rope swings that made it even more fun. (didnt get pics of the bottom
this was a spot on the hike in that was a straight drop off into the water. so sketchy but i saw a local just chillin with his feet off the edge. no thanks lol
cruisin
bottom of one of the valleys
i think this was called beach 69. there were tons of sea turtles
went on a hike to a waterfall (2 different waterfalls)
went to the volcano
this spot called "Tex" was so bomb. they had the best beef teriyaki ive ever had. also famous for these donut things. they were so good too
****ty pic sry
and one of the beaches we chilled at.
i had a blast and cant wait to go back!!!!
one tip that i recommend if you do go is get a condo, it will make your trip 100 times better. i could only imagine how ****ty the experience would have been in a hotel. because when the sun goes down u need somewhere to relax and have fun at. we had the big screen for movies and the outdoor kitchen when we wanted to grill.
lemme know what u guys think haha
