Keyless Entry Remote won't program to car.

To be honest, I think you're right about it not being the fuse. I will check into it further to see if I can learn anything.

Nope! 20 years old with a lot of interest in these things. Haha!

What I can ask you to do now though is verify the operation of the hood sensor. You'll probably find yourself removing the front bumper to do this unless you have small enough hands. ou'll need to put a multimeter on the two pins going to the switch and operate the switch. If you are checking continuity, you should basically see it go open, close, open, close as you operate the switch.

This switch will cause the system not to arm but the reason I'm not pushing you checking this too much is because you should still be able to program the remote, and the security system has never gone off on your car randomly.
