Left work early to catch my brother's baseball game yesterday.
Canon 40D with Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 and Hoya UV filter. Finding out more and more that this lens fails at creating sharp images past 200mm, plus it has horrible bokeh that mimics the bokeh of a cheap UV filter.
Shots range from ISO 100 to 800, with shutters from 1/640 to 1/2500.
It's amazing what 6.5fps can do... I ended up filling both 4 gig cards before the game ended.
Light was very harsh and the shots from 1st base were shot into the sun, but C&C is welcome!
1.
From 1st base, pitcher chasing a ball...
2.
3.
2ns baseman threw over the catchers head, silly 6th graders... St. Peter slid home.
4.
I took the shot and hid behind the fence... I almost got hit 3 or 4 times by foul balls. Pitcher was throwing to first to tag the guy trying to steal.
5.
Different angle of a similar shot
6.
My favorite shot of the game:
7.
Sadly, my brothers' (blue) team lost 27-3
...and Christmas trees on fire:
