main/rod bearings

for those of you that have rebuilt an F23 before, did you replace the main and rod bearings with the same color/letter code they originally came with? or do you have to change sizes?

I will be measuring everything with plastigauge when I put it back together, but I just want to know if I should only order the bearing colors I have now, or if I should order some extra sizes just to be safe.

also, are the bearing halves supposed to be the same color for each journal? only journal #5 in my block had the same color on each half. the other 4 were a mix. is this normal or does this mean someone else has had this motor apart before and messed up big time putting the main bearings back in? all the rod bearings have the same color on each half so I'm kind of confused.....

Measure them with the plastigauge, get your numbers and reference the Honda manual to see which colors you'll need. They might not all be the same as what was in there.
