could the Maint. Light come on if you put too much oil into your motor ???

no, its a "dumby light"

-turn your car off.
-push in and hold in the "reset" button for about 10-15 seconds.
-keep the button pushed in and turn the key to "on", but dont turn the car on.
-hold in the "reset" button until the maint. required light is off.

Yep only for maintenance interval indication. Threw me the first time it lit up. after I bought my car.
