If the firefighter was intoxicated and hit your car HE should be paying. Take his *** to court for damages and talk with your insurance company to get reimbursed.

if you're in college just get a bike and get your family to help you out, save the money and get a good beater car

Take their A55's to court and sue both of them. Get a lawyer and do it soon. GL with everything.

you should definately sue them asap. he was intoxicated, he hit you, end of story. nobody should be drinking and driving in the first place. sick of hearing all these drunk driver stories. the day i become a cop im hitting all the bars and taking everyone down. his fault, who gives a **** if hes a firefighter and the crooked cop friend of his..get a lawyer, sue them, get paid, buy the car that you want. i got hit by some stupid new teen driver with her friends in the car that shouldve been in school instead of ditching, i sued for bodily injuries, got paid and got my tattoos and coilovers hahahaha. its their fault anyways.

If the cop did in fact falsify a police report and failed to order an immediate toxicology report...he is pretty much screwed. Unless you have huge bank accounts for lawyer's fees.

not sure about in the states, but in Canada, lets say im drunk and behind the wheel. If im stopped at a red light, completely obeying all traffic laws, and i get rear ended by someone who is sober, i could still be found at fault due to DUI. weird but true.

long story short...sue the bastard.
