My Factory car alarm, and door locks

My factory alarm is not working and my doors only unlock, but only when then car is on. When the car is off the locks are not locking or unlocking.

Check the battery in the remote.

Also, does the panic button work?

Its related to the alarm... that i know... u gotta reset it.... turn the key to where all ur lights on dash board light up and press Lock then unlock then take the key out and u should be fine

Iwill try that and let you know if that works.But will reseting the alarm reset my door locks to where they work with the inside button when the car is off?

Look it could either be what i told u about the alarm... or inside of ur door panels the motor could be going out

does that refer to running or just the key in the ignition and turned forward?

On a related issue, my trunk button only pops the trunk when I press it immediately after pressing the lock or unlock button... pressing it by itself lights up the LED but won't open the trunk.

the only function that works 100% on my remote is panic...everything else is hit or miss depending on the day...

Its time for a new alarm.... just get a Viper
