My Hood Damper Install Results

I've been lazy but got a set of silver CF dampers I gotta install on mine. You said ur hood already had holes for the ball studs right? how did you secure the ball studs to the hood though? I've been trying to figure out how to maneuver behind there to screw the nut on.

the ones you have are probably too strong for a cf hood (the weight of the hood is less) and on an oem hood the hole and threads are already there, so it just screws in

Who said anything about a CF hood? Only the hood dampers are CF. I've got an oem hood. Like I said, the hole is there, there's just no threads there for it to attach to.

i kind have to doubt that. maybe a reg damper with a cf sticker on it or something.

if the threads arent there its time to make a decision if you really want them and find a welder

those supports only take 15 seconds to take off the studs.

only takes less than a second to push the hood all the way back
