Hey 6GA Buddies ,

i am currently in the process of , Changing up my Intake manifold setup for my j32a2
changing out my stock CL-s manifold and putting the
new intake manifold which is from the 2010 TL SH-AWD

and i will be using an OEM TB from nissan from the 95-96 infiniti q45 (82mm):action-smiley-042: lol

OLD AND NEW

i did a weight comparison between the 2 without the top plates ,

CL-s mani weighed in at about 18 lbs
2010 TL mani weighed in at about 8.2 lbs

test fitting with the CL-s Tb and the P2R adapter

Seeing how much work is needed to make it work

Had one of my friends cut out an actuator block off plate out for me

Tb is a little bigger so i will need to port match the manifold for better flow

the TB is NOT a direct bolt on, i will either have to cut off the oem acura flange and weld the infiniti flange so i can bolt up the TB to the manifold

this is the flange , alot of companies and fabricators make it,
and so does P2R lol

as for TPS and MAP
i will rewire the nissan TPS with my stock wiring harness

i will use a MAP sensor from 96-00 civic ob2 , run a vacuum line from tb to sensor and plug the sensor up,

and im still in the process of finding out the cable issues so when i find it out, since the throttle cable turns opposite from the cl-s tb,

i will keep it posted and updated since its not 100% yet but its what i am doing , i did this basically because its a cheaper TB and more of an OEM TB setup even though its from another car but i wouldnt have to worry about it "sticking" like the after market TB's , and just sharing what i am doing.

Damn. Looks like a lot of work. How much power increase are you expecting from the stock J32a2 vs the J37?

i was seeing on threads from acurazine , v6p , and j32a guys were getting between 10-20 hp and TQ , so im not too sure how much more i will be getting out of it, since i havent dynoed my accord :/

I would imagine the airflow is definitely going to be vastly increased.

Nice project

thanks and yes it will be increased, i might have to get some bigger injectors and tune once im done with this

Looks good. I will be keeping an eye on your build. There are few reasons I come back to this sight. For this type of stuff

Nice.....I was wondering what other OEM TB options there were.

Looking forward to seeing how this one progresses.

well.. the welding part of this process is a no go,
since the intake mani is magnesium it can burn up and wont hold to aluminum.

so luckily i still have my p2r adapter plate from p2r for the CL-s TB
so far i have bolted the ADAPTER to the manifold
then made new holes in the q45 flange to bolt it to the p2r adapter now the flange holds up to the adapter an adapter to intake mani .

new threads were made to the flange so the TB can bolt up

i havent got any pics of it taken apart but i will when i have time.

i havent tightened everything up because i still have to make a gasket for it.

I like the mcgyver approach to your mods. Has this ever been successfully done before? What other mods do you have to the head & motor? Cam? High Comp? Are you running bigger injectors? Extra airflow is good, but just wondering what you have done to support the increase in headflow.
