Need help matching subs with an amp

yeah i was considering gettin like a nice mono amp with a solid power capacity like 300-400w rms and I'm almost sure I'm gonna want more later so then I would have an amp to handle more power and would just have to purchase the new woofer(s).

I saw this on Ebay, from what ive been researching and brand names given to me by xx24xx, i think this might be a really good buy. But I need to be sure that this can be paired up to my subs and just turned down really low. If not then I might just pick it up and grab some better subs while I'm at it.

What is your budget? Get new subs(s) and a new amp...as well as some decent power wire with a fuse and a new car battery. If you don't have a deck with decent pre-outs I would suggest that too.

Agreed. Although cylinder enclosures are not a bad thing. SVS proved that.

a noob wouldn't know how to use that sub to it's potential

type r's are very noob friendly since they get VERY loud and sound somewhat decent
