225/45/17 would make the speedometer accurate as stock on 4cylinder models. 215/45/17 will do the job but your actual speed is 67mph while the Speedometer show 70mph.

205/40/17 is a civic size tire. 2001+ Model Year

i thought only sidewalls change the speedo? width doesnt matter?

^ the sidewall size is actually a percentage rating that is based off of the width number.

So in this case the 45 actually means 45% of the width (215) which is equal to 96.75mm.

who cares about the speedo as long as they look good ... lol wow man ppl worry about the dumbest **** :hide:
