I feel like that's the problem with this theme... So many of the guys that did big things with these cars first, who inspired a lot of the cars that are some of the best on the site now, were modding awhile ago. Like you said, they're not active and many don't have their cars...

Although there are a few cars still on the site now that were inspirational to me when I joined...

but yeah, the main problem with this is that most of the influential people (to me anyway) don't really come on anymore, haha.

Lemon, I think this theme might be able to use some clarification or a few requirements?

I personally think only people who are still active on the forum or come around somewhat often should be nominated.
