Man, and I thought some SF/LA signs were bad. I bet that one person has memorized that sign and gets hell of good parking though.

Not many of those where I live in Queens, but some parts you'll need a dictionary to find out if you can really park there.

Its all a big scheme to create revenue for the state. We dont have a budget crisis....... We get plenty of money from casinos, tint tickets, speeding tickets, parking tickets.

Hmm. Technically parking is different from standing, please correct me if I'm wrong?

I agree

Standing--> sitting in your car in that same spot for more than 3 minutes. Many times with the car running

Parking---> car is parked. no one inside.

I love how it says 1 hour parkin 9am - 4pm and right below it, it clearly says 7am - 10 pm .... so can I park at 7am or not? and no comment on the no standing that sign is pointless ...
Cop - "You can park here but u cant sit in your car because thats considered standing around"

Me - "So wait, If I would have had my car off and be outside of the car you wouldnt have given me a ticket?"

Cop - "Yea because you can't stand there IDK why you jersey ppl don't understand that"

Me - "I'm warming my car up though!"

Cop - "Stop wasting my time and take the ticket its only $45. Or You'd rather me start looking for reasons to give u more tickets. I see 3 reasons already"

Me - (WTF) "Ok officer thank you have a great day"

Alright, so I will be in NY on the 17th - 18th(in Manhattan), I will have to look for some of these parking sign 'gems'.

You're going to Manhattan I suggest public transportation you'll have less headache and avoid potential unwanted tickets while there

^^^This

I cannot begin to tell you how much I reccomend mass trans
Or you can pay $13+ for 1/2 hr of parking....seriously

I remember one time I drove to manhattan, double parked for 30 seconds, came out and there was my car in the air with a tow truck in front of it
$55 ticket
$155 towing.

That was 17 years ago. I'm sure prices have increased since then

Definitely not worth the risk
