My car is an '02 Accord 4dr EX 3.0L with 211k mi on the clock which I've owned since new. Nothing significant to mention. It's really been a pretty boring car, which is a good thing. I change oil and tranny fluid when I'm supposed to. I've also done the spark plugs. New timing belt at 120k. About 5k miles ago I cleaned/cleared the EGR tunnels/system/ducting/whatever you want to call it.

On my way to work last week it really started to sputter. I drove 1/2 mile and parked it. Read the code and got P0303. I didn't drive it any further and changed all the plugs where it sat. The coils looked to be in great shape. Drove it home and now am getting P1399 code. What to do next? Valve adjustment?

Thanks for any help/insight you can provide.

No Help?

I just got done doing the valves. It now runs a bit more smoothly but still regularly rough. Still throwing the P1399 code. What next? Let me know.

Changed out the coil packs and now she purrs like a kitten. After having my car down for 3 days, it's nice to have her back on the road.
