i want to paint my rims cas i dont have enough money to buy new ones. would rim paint look ****ty or is there a little more expensive way to paint rims?

powder coat is best,

the cheapest i found in my area is $75/rim as long its 20" and under,

and they do really good job on mines :naughty:

wow near me they charge 25-50 per rim 25 if they are allready prepped 50 if they need to be sand blasted if i am not mistaken

Just a quick FYI - There's no such word as "mines". The word "mines" could be used for land-mines but not used as a term for saying something belongs to you.

Op just get yourself some sanding paper and find a DIY polishing the rims.

I've been quoted around $300-$350 here in NY. $75 and up per....oh boy

That's because of where you are, the car customizing capital of the world. Around here they want $100-$150 per.

ouch! ya thats true.. i have 3 powder coating shops within 10 min... sometimes i wanna live in the stix and sometimes im glad i dont.. lol

so sand the rims then polish then put the rim paint on?

Just sand the wheels, I forgot which grit to use, its a step by step process, but it takes maybe 5 hours per rim depending on the size. After all the sanding, just polish it with what the DIY recommends.

I'm pretty sure paint and clear coating it after polishing will not work out so great.
