Don't thread jack - Make a new thread and search. Odds of your ecu being fried are next to nil. If you can't figure it out, take it somewhere to get diagnosed.

How do you even plan on reprogramming your stock ecu?

I am just wondering if its possible, I have no intention of doing it myself. I would need to find someone who could do it for me. I just wanted to see if it was worth looking into as an option. I know the hardware investment is a lot so someone who does it regularly would be my best option.

The OBDII Ecu's can not be reprogrammed, unless you get a JET chip or something, but those suck so its not worth it. You can convert to OBDI and then tune the car using Neptune, Crome, or Hondata. But then, if your states has inspections, you wont pass using the OBDI ecu.

So you can't reflash the pcm, by either replacing the eprom, or overwriting it?

Nope. Not in OBDII ecus.

(Although Hondata has taken the time to decode some of the "performance" car ecus. ie: The k series.)
