It's definitely possible, you'll just need something to convert the current from 12v to 5v, and then just run it to the gauge trim, and fit it into there. So you're saying, you're going to mount it to where the usb male connector will be sticking up out of the trim? so you can just sit your phone there leaving it to stand on its own?

If you hit a really bad bump, would it mess up the usb plug though? like bend or break it?

yeah thats where id put it. ive set the phone there before between the dimmer and odometer button and just leaned it back against the gauge front and its stayed pretty good on its own. so i dont think it would screw up really.

kinda hard to see, but i have my gps mounted behind the steering wheel. its only blocking like 90mph and above and only half of the gas gauge.
