They make projector LED bulbs. I think those are something the OP should look into.

FACT: people are going to tailgate, and people are going to respond in there own way. some stupidly and aggressively (brake-checking), others intelligently and passively (moving over to another lane and just letting them pass).

You guys arguing isn't going to change either persons mind of how to deal with it. I've gotten into E-fights like this before and i learned one thing. It accomplishes nothing, so why bother. The only thing you're accomplishing here is shi*ting all over OP's thread.

Back to the main topic.

OP: I think this is a funny Idea. The housing of the reverse lights isn't reflective enough and the lense isn't clear enough to totally blind a tailgater with an HID. But it would certainly get the point across. I've sometimes fantasized about mounting a flood light w/ a toggle on the rear deck over the brake light for just that reason. Or an LED Scrolling Marquee with a nice message scrolling across it.

In for finished pics!

they are bright, very bright.
All the rage in the offroad scene right now. I'm probably going to pick up a 120W bar for the bumper on my wifes new DD Cherokee.

right, so exacerbating the situation with more aggressive driving is the solution.

makes perfect sense now.

.......i would lol if i knew what that meant.

there's been a few other guys with this mod. i wanted to do it, but it's messed up when i think about what can happen.

I assume these are wired into a toggle switch and not wired directly to the oem reverse switch? Oh how I would love this mod. I think all of us with lowered cars could benefit. I couldn't tell you how many times I get assholes throwing a **** fit because I have to take dips/bumps with caution.
