premium fuel?

I drive a V6 2000 accord and have always been filling up my tank with 91 octane.
Is it necessary to fill it up with 91 or can i downgrade?
What do u fill your accord up with?

it shouldn't matter. i use the premium fuel whatever octane that is but thats because the fuel will burn cleaner and i don't mind spending a couple extra bucks.

You will be fine running 87.

Please search, this has been covered on multiple occasions. But our cars do not require 91 and will not really benefit from pumping 91. If you think it's running better, it's just the placebo effect taking place. Although it's only slightly more expensive, if you add up all the extra money your spending throughout an entire year, you can probably get 1-2 full tanks of gas with all that extra money.

no... that will lead you to spend extra money. I RARELY use premium gas every once in a while to "clean" the system but otherwise regular or plus.
