Pulling out factory tweeters

Ok, I had a 96 Accord EX with factory tweets. Pry them up and unsnap the connector. I got it.

6th gens are supposed to be the same way. After I pried them up, it's like both connectors are stuck. All I need to do is unplug the connector but I can't get to it. I tried to used a grabber tool and they won't come out. :thinking:

unscrew the tweeter itself from the cover. Then you'll have more room to pry the connector out or you can just cut the wires

yeah, theres 2 screws holding each tweeter on. definitely not enough space (nor slack in the wires) to be messing around with the grille attached.

does the 99 lx have stock tweeters? i never popped the covers off to see and i never hear sound coming from them.

the lx does not have stock tweeters. or at least i dont lol


i was told to put some ribbon tweeters in there but im not sure yet.

personally, i just cut the wires since the connector is too far inside the dash to have any room to work with
