So I just purchased a set of projectors off of this site, used.

i was reading up on them, and i hear the output is horrendous.

Now, if i buy HID's(8000k) the output will be much better correct?

the main reason i bought these were incase i messed up black housing the oem headlights, i could use these. so if i buy hid's for the projectors, they won't fit the oem ones -_- gay lol.

i wouldnt recommend using hid with any of ebay projector. if you must, tyc is the only way to go. the output is horrible on those ebay projector (including tyc), but having hid with them creates glare problem.

now, throwing in hid in stock headlight + aiming down is acceptable i guess.

be like it is
here are some basics:
1. the higher the K number, the less light it puts out
2. the higher the K, the worse it is for other drivers
3. the higher the K, the more likely you will get a ticket
4. putting hid's where they were not designed to be is bad

Well stop reading the rsx forum and start reading here. There's tons of people here that have hid's and have done retro's and just about anything else you can do with your headlights.

I got halos and love how they look
I wired the halos to come on with my fog lights
The output of the low beam is terrible
I put 6000K HIDs in the low beams and they are much brighter now.

I don't understand the glare problems as the projectors have an obvious cutoff on the output so it will not blind an oncoming car

trust me, ive had all kinds of projector for different car. ebay projectors, including tyc's have terrible cut off line+out put. therefore, hid in them might improve on output(not necessarily focused) and glare(due to dull cutoff line) will blind oncoming traffic.
