The pins?? Take them out and lube them with high temp grease. They should slide in and out.

thanks everyone got that last one in c-clamp ftw. but now that i fixed my rotors. just realized my front motor mount is busted. the joys of working on our own car :eusa_wall:

You used a C clamp on the pins or the caliper? dear god i hope not the caliper.

no just the pins. i'm no mechanic but i'm no dummy either. i had measured the rear passenger side that was already changed and there was an 1/8 inch
difference in how far the pins were sticking out. :rock:

Did you at least take out the pins and lube them up before you clamped them in?

you shouldnt have to clamp them in they go in smoothly with enough grease which their supposed to have anyways their floating calipers.

There's no need to use c-clamp at all on them pins :poke:

just go buy a new hardware kit, it will have new pins that aren't rusted/pitted. It's like $10 at the parts store.

if you do one motor mount you should just plan on doing them all. That one is hammered.

FWIW if you have to drive it like that for a while you can fil it full of liquid nails and it will stay like that for a while.
