Haha, I was expecting Simon to chime in too. I'm going to redo my fog light the way he did it. The reverse light just isn't bright enough. It might grab someone's attention by making him/her think "hey, what's wrong with that guy's tail light?" Which might prevent a rear end collision. :lawl:

IIRC, Simon's is in the bottom portion of the inner tail light.

I wouldn't mess with the reverse lights at all, the lower portion of the inner tail light has lots of room.

Exactly, he modded the inner housing to accept a dual filament bulb (since it's just a #194 bulb originally). I just screwed around with the reverse light since it was easier at the time. But I'm going to go back and redo it when I have time. Just have to figure out how to properly mount the larger bulb in there without making it permanent.

mmm, I see.

Yeah, I would suggest shooting Simon a pm, unless you already know how to do it. He does most of the work on his car himself.

Wasn't able to find one Chris, you wouldn't consider doing the Lexus reverse light mod?

I think it was Ian and one other Coupe owner that did that....Steverino.

I would. In fact I have my own idea I am working on, just have other priorities right now but this thread just renewed my interest. I will look up said Lexus mod.

Ian did it, but good luck finding that thread/write-up.

Actually I don't even know if a DIY exists on it for a 6th Coupe.

I didn't want to cut a hole in my rear bumper either.

You just have to modify the socket hole a bit to accommodate the larger dual filament light bulb socket.

Derek! :squintwave: Did you get my text?

^ Do you have any tips on modifying the socket hole?

Also, can anyone explain what the Lexus reverse light mod is? :poke:
